Blake Lively was all the internet could talk about yesterday after nude photos of the star surfaced. We sort the truth from the fibs in today’s wrap-up. Marc Jacobs has spoken out about the similarities between his and Justin Beiber’s fragrance bottles and Will and Kate have scheduled their first public appearance for next week.

Blake Lively Naked Pic Scandal
Yesterday the internet was buzzing with the news that nude photos of Blake Lively had been published on a handful of websites. The images show a blonde woman, suspiciously like Blake, taking photos of herself in the mirror.
Lively’s reps were quick to act, releasing a statement saying, “The photos of Blake Lively which have just surfaced on various websites… are 100 percent fake. Blake will pursue legal action against the publication which initially published these photographs and any other outlets that republish them in any manner.”
Blake is reportedly holidaying with Leonardo DiCaprio in the French Riviera right now so we’re sure there’s plenty to take her mind off the scandal. We reported on the pairs budding romance at the Cannes film festival and it seems the bud is blossoming in Monte Carlo with the pair spotted taking a moonlit stroll after a romantic dinner!

Fragrance Wars
In our weekly fashion wrap up, we mentioned Justin Bieber’s new scent uncanny similarity to Lola by Marc Jacobs. Every beauty blogger and their best friend was wondering what Jacobs and perfume giant Coty International were going to do about the clear similarities and now we know…
In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Jacobs took the high road, saying, “Coty said, ‘Do we sue them?’ and I said, ‘You know what? Let everyone else say what they want’…we’re not going to do anything about it.”
In the interview Jacobs explaining that in the in fashion, ideas and inspiration are often overlapping. He said, “I look around the room and I look at the work we’ve done and a quote I always bastardize but I really believe in, is something Chanel said, ‘He who insists on his own creativity had no memory.’”
We have even more respect for Jacobs after these smart statements. He’s taken the path of least resistance and we’re sure Beiber is thanking his lucky stars!

Will and Kate’s First Public Event
On June 9th Will and Kate will be making their first official public appearance at an event since they returned from their luxury honeymoon in the Seychelles.
The event of choice is the very glamourous Absolute Return for Kids (ARK) (link http://www.arkonline.org/home) Gala Dinner that will benefit the Foundation for Prince William and his brother Harry.
Perks Field, right near the Princes’ childhood home of Kensington Palace, is the location for the event where ARK will be celebrating its 10th year of incredible work and achievements in transforming the lives of disadvantaged children.
In 2009 Williams’ set up a general fundraising foundation that aims to distribute funds to various causes close to his heart. Word is that the Price will be announcing a collaboration between this foundation and ARK on the night.

Watch: Death Of A Comet

There’s something beautifully sad about watching a celestial object around for perhaps hundreds of millions of years meet its fate at the hands of our sun. NASA recorded this video of a massive coronal mass ejection between May 20-21 with a surprising scene: a doomed comet streaking towards our star.

“Soon after [the eruption], as a bonus visual, a sun-grazing comet came streaking in (from the right) heading for the sun,” NASA officials said in a May 27 statement. “Its tail could be seen elongating substantially as it approached the sun and apparently disintegrated.”

Actually, maybe it really isn’t that surprising. Earlier this month, NASA caught another comet on a kamikaze trajectory with the sun. It was never seen again. [Cue ominous music]

So the next time the sun does something that pisses you off – remember – it’s got our back in more ways than one. At least until it becomes a super red giant a few billion years from now and bakes us to a crisp. Happy Summer!

Adrian Grenier Partners With Gilt For Sustainable Sale

Long time eco advocate Adrian Grenier and his website SHFT have teamed up with Gilt.com to feature environmentally friendly men’s fashions and other items for the home.

Amongst his selections are the highly adored line of vegan bags from designer Matt and Nat. Other eco brands of men’s fashion include Edun, Nau and Simple Shoes. It’s not just clothes though. In the shop you’ll find bicycles, backpacks, lamps, journals and even a gravity defying garden.

Grenier says about the choice of products, “The common thread in all of what we do together is whatever we present has a high esthetic value, made well, quality–it's something that you'd want, but at the same time has a very meaningful, sustainable element to it.”

Grenier adds that unlike a lot of celebrities, he’s not simply phoning it in to improve his image. Making sustainable choices has been a cause he’s been involved with for a long time now. I’ve got to say, so far I’m liking the items he’s put together.
