| Image host still being impacted by aftermath of Hurricane Sandy Posted: 31 Oct 2012 03:41 PM PDT It looks like ImgBox are still being affected by the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Their main image servers are located in New York, and I think we will just have to put up with the unavoidable delays & outages which will happen while the communications network on the East Coast is being repaired. Mega Free Wallpapers is hosted in Germany, but the images are stored in NYC, and the thumbnails are located on servers in another USA city. So while the site & previews seem to be okay, the full-sized pictures are a little difficult to view at the moment. Hopefully things will get better in the next day or so, but my thoughts at the moment really are with those who have been directly affected by the storm.        |

| Good news - image host is back online after Hurricane Sandy Posted: 30 Oct 2012 04:23 AM PDT Down here in Australia we've all been watching on the evening news the phenomenal effects of Hurricane Sandy. Lives have been lost & billions of dollars worth of damage has been done. My heart goes out to those who have suffered the loss of, or injury to, loved ones, and also to those who will suffer financially through damage to property or businesses. There is some good news. Affected data centers seem to be getting back online fairly quickly. ImgBox is now working, so full-sized wallpapers can again be downloaded from Mega Free Wallpapers.     |
| Hurricane Sandy affecting image host Posted: 29 Oct 2012 11:05 PM PDT Visitors may experience problems with viewing full-sized wallpapers over the next few hours (possibly days) as it looks like Hurricane Sandy has impacted on the image host used by Mega Free Wallpapers. ImgBox is hosted in New York, which has been heavily affected by the sub-tropical storm. Thumbnails may still display as they are hosted on a separate server in Philadelphia. In the meantime, I will be working on more Halloween wallpapers & also getting Cheryl Cole wallpapers ready for uploading.     |
